I found this article on the CNN Website regarding how wounded veterans from the Iraq war are being treated when they come back. It is so sad to see that picture of Ty Ziegel before he left and now that he is back. To think that now he can never live a normal life again and will never be able to work is very saddening. But, what frustrates me the most is the fact that most Americans have no idea the treatment they receive when they come back form the war. I mean they defined his disability as much lower than it really is so they can save money on disability checks. The government did this to themselves by sending everyone over there to fight. They should have expected that the cost of these medical bills would sky rocket. To think these people volunteer their services to protect us overseas and meanwhile endangering there own lives, and this is how they are treated. Completely ridiculous if you ask me!

The way Veterans are taken care of in this country is a sham. They need more benefits when they come home. It’s bad enough they don’t get what they need while they are in Iraq, can’t we get them what they need when they finally return to American soil?
